about

This was the third and final release of the West-Berlin 'Kult' band from the 80s 'Die Elefanten. It is a very unique concept album using the novel 'Faust' by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe a lot of wind instruments, percussion, guitars and basses plus body percussion, voices and much more.

This is one of the minimal - world - melodic - jazz projects lasting from the early 80s to the early 90s I was involved in. All three of them were Die Elefanten / Minimal Kidds / The Silent Jazz Ensemble. I am in the process of making all these productions available digitally and if possible also as CD through bandcamp. All of my CDs and some LPs you may find in the shop on my homepage at www.gebhard-ullmann.com.

This is a rare recording from the early days that is now available digitally for the first time.
